Emergency & Safety of Life Communications
Our volunteers deliver updates on weather, traffic, and general news via our social media channels.
At SEQUEST, we ensure the public stays informed with the latest details from a variety of sources.
We provide daily emailed forecasts for land and marine conditions along the Southeast Coast and Moreton Bay, sourced from the Bureau of Meteorology Queensland office.
We receive direct email notifications of weather warnings from the Bureau of Meteorology Queensland office, which include severe weather, fire weather, and flood warnings, as well as road weather alerts.
We distribute email alerts from the Queensland Police Service media unit concerning missing persons and critical information for disaster and emergency situations.
Similarly, we send out alerts from the Queensland Fire Department media unit about significant disaster and emergency event information.
We also keep an eye on social media and websites to share any useful information with our followers.
Additionally, we advocate for and spotlight the importance of volunteering to our audience.
